Speech and Language Data Engineer

As a highly skilled and innovative Text to Speech (TTS) Senior Product Designer at Cerence, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of transportation user experiences by developing and implementing cutting-edge TTS models specifically for automotive voice assistants. Your role will involve collaborating with a global team to advance technologies and services, ensuring high-quality TTS for both custom and roadmap commitments. Here's what you can expect in this role: You will be an integral part of the TTS Team, contributing to the creation of state-of-the-art AI TTS and enhancing team capabilities. Your responsibilities will include enabling the team to respond quickly to customer requests, collaborating with AI and Voices Team members, analyzing data for AI TTS, and ensuring timely TTS data release. - Join the TTS Team to create high-quality TTS for automotive voice assistants - Strengthen team capabilities for delivering neural TTS - Collaborate with AI Team and Voices Team for training AI-based TTS system - Analyze data for AI TTS and categorize/extract information - Work with engineering team to ensure timely TTS data release - BA/MA in Computational Linguistics, MSc/BSc in Computer Science, or similar - Education in Digital Signal Processing and Data Processing for Linguistics - 3+ years of experience in the field - Strong background in analyzing and ensuring the quality of datasets - Proficiency in scripting and automation skills (Python, Perl, bash, .) - Fluent in English, both written and spoken at a level B2 or higher - Comfortable with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, .)
