The Spec Analytics Analyst role at Citigroup is a developing professional position where you will apply your specialty area knowledge to monitor, assess, analyze, and evaluate processes and data. Your responsibilities will include interpreting data, making recommendations, researching and interpreting factual information, identifying inconsistencies in data, defining business issues, and formulating recommendations on policies, procedures, or practices. You will integrate established disciplinary knowledge within your specialty area with a basic understanding of related industry practices. It is crucial to have a good understanding of how your team interacts with others to accomplish the objectives of the area. Your job will have a limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services you provide, with the impact restricted to your own team. Key Responsibilities: - Work with large and complex data sets (internal and external) to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies - Identify and compile data sets using tools like SQL, Access to predict, improve, and measure the success of key business outcomes - Document data requirements, data collection/processing/cleaning, and exploratory data analysis, potentially utilizing statistical models/algorithms and data visualization techniques - Specialize in marketing, risk, digital, and AML fields - Appropriately assess risk in business decisions to safeguard Citigroup, its clients, and assets by complying with laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, and applying ethical judgment Qualifications: - 2-5 years of relevant experience - Ability to retrieve and manipulate data - Possess analytical ability and problem-solving skills - Working experience in a quantitative field - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, organized, and adaptive to a matrix work environment - Ability to build partnerships with cross-functional teams Education: - Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience This job description offers a summary of the work performed in the Spec Analytics Analyst role at Citigroup.
