Specialist/Senior Specialist - Structures, Offshore Wind Energy

As a Specialist/ Senior Specialist Structures in the Offshore Wind Energy industry, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a leading engineering consulting company dedicated to creating value for customers, people, and societies worldwide. The offshore wind industry is rapidly growing, and we are seeking experienced engineers like you to provide innovative solutions in the offshore wind foundation market. Joining our Industry and Energy Team in Chennai, you will collaborate with 200 enthusiastic colleagues from various countries, working together to tackle wind power projects globally. Your role will involve designing steel structures such as internal/external platforms, boat landings, topsides, and access arrangements for offshore wind topside foundations. You will lead a team of steel engineers, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to technical proposals. Key Responsibilities: - Design steel structures aligned with project needs - Develop layout and general arrangement of secondary steel - Lead a team of engineers and collaborate with stakeholders - Participate in knowledge transfer and contribute to technical proposals Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Structural, Marine Engineering, or similar discipline - 10+ years of experience in design of steel structures and connections - Proficiency in reviewing 3D CAD models and knowledge of advanced engineering concepts - Strong communication skills in English and ability to lead a team of engineers At COWI, we are committed to shaping a sustainable world by applying our knowledge and curiosity.
