Specialist, Trade Support

Role Overview: The Trade Support Group (TS) at Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group is responsible for post-trade processing for clients" portfolios. As a Trade Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the post-trade process using leading technologies and systems. This role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be part of an operational team that continues to grow in scope and importance within the asset management world. Key Responsibilities: - Learn and manage the post-trade process from front to back, including security settlements, derivatives, collateral management, and asset transfers - Utilize leading technologies and systems to support the smooth operation of post-trade processes - Support trade matching, allocation, transmission, and settlement processes - Manage collateral obligations with Brokers and Portfolio Managers - Enhance Trade Support processes, systems, and data to maximize efficiency and minimize risk - Set up new accounts and products in internal systems and at 3rd party brokers Qualifications Required: - Degree in Finance, Business, or related field; enrollment in a relevant designation like CFA is an asset - Minimum of 2 years of related working experience, preferably in an institutional money manager/asset management firm or similar environment - Advanced computer skills, especially in MS Excel, with the ability to learn new systems quickly - Experience with Charles Rivers Trade Order Management system, DTCC's Central Trade Manager, SWIFT messaging protocols, and Traiana Harmony trade matching software is an asset - Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and ability to deduce root causes of issues - Strong collaboration skills to support a team of driven individuals with high standards - Positive attitude, ambition, and enthusiasm to improve processes and implement creative solutions - Self-motivated with a passion for advancing process robustness, quality, scale, and efficiency - Continuous process improvement mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects and drive project implementation About Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group: Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group is an independent and employee-owned firm that partners with investment professionals to grow successful asset management businesses.
