Specialist, Trade Support

The Trade Support Group, a part of Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group's Investment Resource Group, oversees post-trade processing for client portfolios. Your responsibilities include matching trade allocations with brokers, sending trade allocations to custodians, resolving trade break issues, maintaining client settlement instructions, onboarding new clients, and collaborating with other teams. This role offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to an operational team with a growing scope and significance. As a Trade Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of post-trade processes. You will gain hands-on experience in areas such as security settlements, derivatives, collateral management, and asset transfers. Utilizing leading technologies and systems, you will support the entire post-trade process, including trade matching, allocation, transmission, and settlement. Moreover, you will be involved in managing collateral obligations, enhancing trade support processes, and setting up new accounts and products in internal systems. To excel in this role, you should hold a degree in Finance, Business, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience. Proficiency in MS Excel and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems are essential. Familiarity with tools like Charles Rivers Trade Order Management system, DTCC's Central Trade Manager, SWIFT messaging protocols, and Traiana Harmony trade matching software is advantageous. Additionally, possessing strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, a positive attitude, and self-motivation are key attributes for success in this position.
