As a Specialist, Maintenance R&D at KONE in the Field Engineering & Installation domain in ITEC, Chennai, you will be a part of the Onsite and Field Maintenance tribe, contributing to the development of maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding processes. Your role will play a crucial part in enhancing KONE Service operations globally. **Role Overview:** You will be responsible for following R&D development activities, creating safe and efficient preventive maintenance methods & plans, service repairs, and fault-finding methods, including spare part definitions and method safety risk assessments. Collaboration with other teams within KONE global R&D and KONE country units will be essential. Your role may involve concepting different digital methods and capabilities to address failure modes remotely, depending on your interest and experience. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop safe and efficient preventive maintenance methods & plans - Service repairs and fault-finding methods, including spare part definitions and method safety risk assessments - Collaborate with other teams within KONE global R&D and KONE country units - Concept different digital methods and capabilities to address failure modes remotely - Act as a subject matter expert in various digital services development projects **Qualifications Required:** - BE or Equivalent level degree in a relevant field, or other relevant experience from field operations or maintenance - Experience in maintenance, service repairs, or fault-finding - Knowledge and experience in reliability engineering, condition monitoring, and different types of sensors - Fluent communication skills in English - Hands-on attitude and service mindset - Experience in Agile ways of working and related tools If you possess elevator and escalator knowledge, it would be considered a benefit.
