Specialist Integration Architect, Mulesoft

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement MuleSoft core platform capabilities including Runtime Fabric, VPCs, load balancing, and hybrid connectivity
• Design containerized deployments for MuleSoft using Kubernetes and Docker
• Lead the integration of AWS-native services such as S3 into API architecture
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft deployments using GitHub Actions and infrastructure-as-code
• Build platform automation tools and scripts in Python, Shell, or equivalent for deployment, monitoring, and provisioning
• Ensure platform observability, system health, and performance tuning across environments
• Define and enforce security policies including OAuth2, TLS, token management, and RBAC
• Conduct solution assurance activities and maintain detailed architecture documentation
• Mentor MuleSoft engineers on architectural best practices, DevOps, and reusability patterns
• Deliver reusable assets like APIs, connectors, and templates to reduce technical debt and accelerate project delivery
• Act as SME in integration platform operations, governance, and DevSecOps principles
• Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to align platform strategy with enterprise goals

Basic Qualifications:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• 912 years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on integration platforms and infrastructure

Must-Have Skills:

• Expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform architecture and administration
• Proven experience in MuleSoft on-premises and cloud-based deployments
• Strong AWS infrastructure experience (e.g., VPCs, S3, networking)
• Skilled in API development using Mule 4, Java, and DataWeave
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes for API orchestration and scaling
• Experience in integration architecture patterns and modern DevOps practices
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows
• Deep understanding of API security standards (OAuth2, TLS, RBAC)
• Agile delivery experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Linux system administration and scripting in Bash, Shell, or Python
• Background in life sciences or pharmaceutical industries, especially with regulated systems
• Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and observability tooling

Certifications:

• Required: MuleSoft Integration Architect I or MuleSoft Platform Architect I
• Preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Linux Admin, or DevOps-related certifications
