As an Institutional Portfolio Operations Specialist at Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group Ltd., you will be an integral part of a dynamic team that directly impacts the investment success of various institutional clients. Your role will involve reconciling investment portfolio data, communicating with key stakeholders, supporting audits, and participating in operational projects to enhance efficiency. In this position, your responsibilities will include reconciling cash, transactions, holdings, derivatives, dividends, and alternative investments. You will collaborate with custodians, brokers, and portfolio managers to resolve discrepancies, communicate critical portfolio information, and ensure the accurate flow of data. Additionally, you will work with auditors to provide timely and precise information for client audits and contribute to automation and scalability projects within the Institutional Portfolio Operations team. To excel in this role, you should possess an undergraduate degree in Finance or Business Administration, along with at least 1 year of experience in investment operations and reconciliations at an institutional firm, bank, or trust company. Strong communication skills, critical thinking abilities, problem-solving aptitude, and a proactive attitude towards process improvement are essential for success in this position. You should also demonstrate a collaborative mindset, a thirst for knowledge, and a commitment to working effectively within a team environment.
