Job Description

Role Overview: As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and promoting technical solutions that support business requirements within your area of expertise. You will champion best practices in object-oriented and functional programming, drive architecture decisions related to microservices and cloud deployment, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality software in an Agile environment. Additionally, you will guide and mentor other engineers, ensure software quality through code reviews and testing, and effectively communicate with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend services and APIs - Champion best practices in object-oriented and functional programming - Drive architecture decisions related to microservices, cloud deployment, and distributed systems - Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality software - Contribute to and optimize CI/CD pipelines, and support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes - Guide and mentor other engineers while contributing to the team's technical growth - Ensure software quality through code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing - Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on backend development - Strong understanding of object-oriented and functional programming principles - Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs - Proficiency in Java or Kotlin in a production environment - Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) - Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment - Excellent communication and teamwork skills Additional Details: The company is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on development experience, a foundation in object-oriented and functional programming, and expertise in modern backend architecture.
