Job Description

Role Overview: As a Specialist I, Quality Assurance Engineer at EY, you will provide intermediate level systems quality assurance testing services and maintain new techniques and tools to improve the quality and efficiency of software development. You will be responsible for executing usability, regression, and stress tests, preparing test reports, and contributing feedback during design reviews to ensure application performance and user experience meet defined standards. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in the implementation and maintenance of test automation strategies, test design, and coding reviews to ensure quality. Translate functional requirements and technical specifications into test scripts for new development or enhancement projects. - Follow up to ensure that all information system products and services meet company standards and end-user requirements. - Analyze input and output of test data, identify discrepancies between requirements and expected results, document exceptions, and make recommendations for improvement. - Develop and document quality assurance standards, recognize and identify areas where policies and procedures need to be changed or developed. - Collaborate across IT teams to execute manual End-to-End test cases and exploratory tests, following test case standards. - Execute usability tests to assess the user experience and performance of the application, ensuring the software is intuitive and meets accessibility and design standards. - Conduct regression testing and stress testing to verify application stability and responsiveness under various load conditions. - Prepare comprehensive test reports that document test outcomes, bugs, usability concerns, and recommendations, and share findings with the development and design teams for corrective actions. - Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on user stories, interface elements, and product workflows to identify quality risks early in the development cycle. Qualification Required: - Minimum 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, with expertise in automation and manual testing. - Bachelors degree (B.E./B.Tech) in relevant fields such as Computer Science, IT, or Software Engineering, or a Masters degree/Diploma in Computer Science. - Hands-on experience with API testing (Postman, RestAssured) and performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner). - Proficiency in using JIRA, HP ALM, or TestRail for bug tracking and working in Agile/Scrum environments with CI/CD integration.
