Specialist Global Immigration

The purpose of this role is to process business / work visa applications for all employees at Wipro by collaborating with internal stakeholders like business, HR, and finance and external agents like travel agents and immigration authorities in a timely manner. You are expected to comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to immigration across the globe. This includes executing the Global Immigration Policy laid down by Wipro, understanding immigration specific legal and regulatory requirements for different countries, coordinating with internal finance and HR teams for necessary documents, reviewing documents for accuracy with employees, and processing business/work permit visa applications internally following the visa documents review checklist. Additionally, you will need to liaise with travel agents/immigration authorities to file employee visa applications, respond to queries raised by authorities, and conduct regular follow-ups related to documents and application status. Operational excellence is crucial for this role. You should comply with timelines and service level agreements, suggest improvements in global immigration management processes, and create MIS reports showcasing the status of business/work visa applications. Your performance will be measured based on process efficiency (actual vs budgeted time, visa rejection rate, compliance rate), and customer satisfaction (internal CSAT).
