As a Tech Lead, Data Architecture at Fiserv, you will play a crucial role in the timely and accurate conversion of new and existing Bank/Client data to Fiserv systems, sourced from both internal and external channels. Your responsibilities will include providing data analysis for client projects and accommodating ad hoc data updates to meet client requests. Being an integral part of the Service Delivery organization, you will be involved in mapping data to support project initiatives for both new and existing banks/clients. Your role will also entail offering specialized services to Project Manager teams, developing custom reporting, providing technical assistance, and ensuring project timelines are met. The accuracy and adherence to procedures and guidelines in handling financial services data will be of utmost importance. In the event of a backup scenario, you would need to review specifications history, understand the code being developed to resolve issues, and ensure a seamless transition back to the original developer. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in programming or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in data processing conversions (ETL) or the financial services industry. Additionally, 5 to 14 years of experience and strong knowledge of MS SQL/PSQL, MS SSIS, and Data warehousing concepts are required. Expertise in writing SQL commands, queries, and stored procedures, along with experience in Performance Tuning of SQL complex queries, will be essential. Moreover, you should demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical colleagues, mentor junior team members, manage and prioritize work across multiple workstreams, and work independently as a team player. Experience in the full software development life cycle using agile methodologies, coupled with a good understanding of Agile practices and ceremonies, will be advantageous. Desirable qualifications include experience with Data Modelling, Informatica, Power BI, MS Visual Basic, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with Card Management systems and debit card processing, as well as a deep understanding of the Banking Domain, will be beneficial. It is vital to have the ability to work under pressure, especially in resolving critical issues in a production environment, along with excellent communication skills for client interaction.
