Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a wide array of South Indian dishes, including but not limited to dosa, idli, vada, sambar, rasam, chutneys, curries, biryanis, and regional specialties.
  • Ensure dishes are prepared according to traditional recipes and culinary standards.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and preparing vegetables, meat, and other ingredients.

Kitchen Management:

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Follow food hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory and ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Follow recipes and cooking procedures.
  • Potentially assist with menu planning.

Other duties

  • Unpacking and organizing deliveries
  • Mopping up kitchen spills
  • Following instructions
  • Seasoning meats
  • Washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits
  • Preparing basic salads and sauces
