Sound and Light Technician

We are looking for a skilled Sound and Light Technician to manage and operate all sound, lighting, and AV systems within our barcade and restaurant premises. The ideal candidate should have experience in setting up, maintaining, and operating professional audio and lighting systems for live shows, DJ nights, themed events, and other performances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate lighting, soundboards, microphones, projectors, speakers, and other AV equipment.
• Collaborate with event managers, DJs, performers, and chefs for theme-based AV coordination.
• Monitor equipment during live events and troubleshoot issues in real-time.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and kept in good working condition.
• Conduct regular checks on wiring, lighting, and sound systems for functionality and safety.
• Provide support during rehearsals and coordinate with performers for sound/light cues.
• Manage inventory of AV equipment and make purchase requests for replacements or upgrades.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and recommend improvements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (2+ years) as a Sound & Light Technician in a hospitality or event-based environment.
• Hands-on knowledge of professional audio mixers, lighting consoles (DMX), amplifiers, microphones, and speakers.
• Ability to manage indoor and outdoor setups.
• Good understanding of event acoustics and lighting design.
• Willingness to work on weekends, evenings, and during special events.
• Physically fit to manage equipment setup and dismantling.
• Technical diploma/certification in sound engineering, lighting, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Basic electrical knowledge for AV troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with software-based lighting/audio control (e.g., QLab, Ableton, Lightkey, etc.).
• Creativity in mood lighting, ambient sound control, and event atmosphere enhancement.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
