Solution Architect

Job Description

As a Solution Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance solutions that leverage cloud technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with our overall architecture strategy. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in cloud technologies, data integration, and analytics. Key Responsibilities: Architecture Design: Develop high-level architecture designs and detailed technical specifications for data solutions using Azure, Data Factory, Data Lake, and other relevant tools. Data Integration: Design and implement ETL processes using industry-standard ETL tools to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data lakes and warehouses. Data Warehousing: Build and optimize data warehousing solutions using best practices to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability. Business Intelligence: Collaborate with BI teams to design effective dashboards and reporting solutions using BI tools like Qlik and Power BI, ensuring data visualization aligns with business objectives. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs. Best Practices: Establish and promote best practices for cloud data architecture, including data governance, security, and compliance considerations. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture designs, data flows, and technical processes. Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of our data solutions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar role, with a focus on Azure data services. Extensive expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, SSIS), and data warehousing tools. Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, specifically Qlik and Power BI. Experience with data modelling, database design, and data integration techniques. Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services, particularly Data Lake and Data Factory. Proficient in programming languages such as Python. Experience with CI/CD tools, specifically Jenkins. Proficient in SQL and experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics). Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Relevant certifications in Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert). Experience in big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop). Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
