Software Test Engineer / QA Engineer

As a Software Tester, you will collaborate closely with software developers and project support teams to identify business requirements, plan projects, and ensure the quality of applications and software systems. Your responsibilities will include conducting stress testing, performance testing, functional testing, and scalability testing. You will be tasked with writing and executing test scripts for manual and automated tests across various environments, including web and mobile platforms. Additionally, you will be expected to write bug reports, assess code, review documentation, and provide objective feedback to software development project teams. In this role, you will work towards meeting departmental and project deadlines while upholding quality assurance standards. You will troubleshoot and problem-solve, designing tests to mitigate risks and presenting your findings to software development teams. As you will be working on multiple projects simultaneously, your ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks will be crucial. The ideal candidate for this position will have 1.5 to 2.5 years of experience with a strong background in both automatic and manual testing. You should possess the ability to create test scenarios and test cases based on use cases, along with a solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC) concepts. Proficiency in SQL, RDBMS concepts, and experience with Selenium Automation tool will be advantageous. Candidates with a degree in MCA, M.Tech, BE, or B.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology are preferred. Those with prior experience in medical software, finance software, or ERP development will be given special consideration. Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, are essential for this role. Additionally, you should be a team player, dedicated to your work, and possess good interpersonal and management skills. Hands-on experience with white box and black box testing methodologies is desired.
