Job Description

1. Manual Testing Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements, BRD, FSD, and use cases for banking applications.
Prepare and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT support.
Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, ALM, etc.
Perform API testing using Postman / Swagger.
Validate transactions in core banking, internet banking, mobile banking, and loan/credit modules.
Perform database validation using SQL queries.
Ensure all banking workflows meet compliance, security, and audit requirements.

2. Automation Testing Responsibilities

Design & develop automation scripts for UI and API automation.
Work with tools like Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent.
Build and maintain automation frameworks (keyword, data-driven, hybrid, POM).
Automate critical banking workflows like:
Account opening
Funds transfer
Loan processing
Credit/debit transaction validation
KYC and onboarding
Execute automation suites in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
Analyze automation results and share detailed reports.

Technical Skills RequiredManual Testing

STLC, SDLC, Defect Life Cycle
Test case design techniques (Boundary value, Equivalence class, etc.)
Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, UAT
Knowledge of banking workflows (Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Payments, Loans)

Automation Testing

Selenium WebDriver, Java/Python/C#
TestNG / JUnit
Cucumber (BDD) is an added advantage
API Automation: RestAssured / Postman
Version control: Git
CI/CD: Jenkins / Azure DevOps
Framework design (POM, Hybrid, Data-driven)

Banking Domain Skills

Retail banking (Savings, Current Accounts, Deposits)
Loan & Credit Processing
Cards (Debit, Credit, Prepaid)
Internet & Mobile Banking
NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, UPI payments
KYC, AML, Regulatory Compliance
Reconciliation and transaction validations
Knowledge of Core Banking Systems (Flexcube, Finacle, T24, etc.)

Soft Skills

Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to work with business teams, developers, and stakeholders
Analytical thinking and problem-solving
Ability to work in Agile methodology
