Software Quality Analyst

As a Software Test Engineer joining our QA team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our software products through thorough testing processes. Your role will involve collaborating with Product Managers, Developers, and Designers to understand requirements and define testing scope. You will design, document, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both web and mobile applications. Additionally, you will define and implement testing strategies including functional, regression, integration, and system testing. Your key responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define testing scope - Designing, documenting, and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications - Implementing testing strategies including functional, regression, integration, and system testing - Executing manual and automated tests across various platforms - Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects using bug-tracking tools - Developing and maintaining automation test scripts using Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks - Ensuring test coverage for both front-end (UI/UX) and back-end (API, Database) - Conducting performance, load, security testing as required - Providing feedback on user experience (UX) and usability issues - Continuously improving QA processes, tools, and methodologies Qualifications required for this role include: - 3+ years of experience in software testing focusing on web and mobile applications - Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle - Hands-on experience with manual testing and proficiency in automation frameworks - Experience with API testing tools and familiarity with performance/load testing tools - Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and mobile app architecture - Basic understanding of SQL/Database queries for test validation In addition to technical competencies, soft skills such as strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication, ability to prioritize tasks, and being a strong team player with a proactive mindset are essential for this role.
