You will play a key role in scaling our search services to ensure low latency and high throughput, focusing on delivering high-quality, distributed, testable, and scalable software. As a mentor, you will guide others in development technologies, tools, and processes, while also presenting your designs and reviewing those of your peers. To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. With at least 12 years of object-oriented programming experience, you should be proficient in languages such as Java or C++. Experience with Git/GitHub, automated testing using tools like JUnit and Selenium, and prior exposure to SaaS development are essential. An agile mindset, familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, and a passion for learning and collaboration are important traits for success. Moreover, expertise in search technologies like Lucene, Elasticsearch, or Solr, as well as previous work on building search platforms or features, will be highly advantageous for this role.
