Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Ship small to medium features end to end with guidance and increasing ownership over time.
Write clean, maintainable code in
Svelte
and
TypeScript
.
Build backend features using
REST APIs
and realtime functionality using
WebSockets
.
Work on
PostgreSQL
, including schema changes and writing efficient queries.
Use
Git and GitHub
daily: branching, commits, pull requests, reviews, and resolving conflicts.
Run services locally using
Docker
, debug environment issues, and keep your setup stable
Comfort using an
AI code editor
(Cursor, Copilot, or similar) to accelerate work responsibly:

You verify outputs, understand what you ship, and can explain your code.

Strong fundamentals: debugging, reading existing codebases, basic data structures, and problem solving.
Writing tests and understanding basic test strategy.
Personal projects with real usage or strong GitHub activity (clean commits, PRs, documentation).
Exposure to Docker or basic cloud deployment concepts.
Familiarity with auth flows (sessions, JWT) and API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger).
Performance and reliability awareness: edge cases, error handling, and logging.
Any experience with caching/queues/background jobs (Redis, Celery, etc.).
Onboard into the codebase and ship your first PR in the first week
