Software Engineering Director, Cloud Observability

You should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. You must possess 15 years of experience in cloud computing, distributed systems, and software engineering, along with 15 years of experience in technical innovation within cross-functional engineering environments. Additionally, you should have a minimum of 10 years of experience leading teams of software engineers in cloud-based or open source projects. Preferred qualifications include experience leading an engineering team to successfully build and scale a distributed system, building and operating end-user facing production services, building observability tools, collaborating with multiple product and engineering teams, and partnering closely with product management to achieve business goals. As the Software Engineering Director for Cloud Observability in Hyderabad, you'll be responsible for hiring and developing a high-performing engineering team. Your role will involve overseeing the migration of existing Application Monitoring projects to the team in Hyderabad, as well as improving the usability and integration of third-party observability tools with Google Cloud and Gemini Cloud Assist. Your responsibilities will include attracting, hiring, and developing an engineering team, fostering collaboration within the team, and ensuring seamless integration with other Cloud Observability and AppEco groups. You will serve as the Hyderabad site lead for Cloud Observability and AppEco, representing and advocating for their teams at the site level and acting as a point of contact between Cloud Observability and other Cloud teams in India. Additionally, you will provide site leadership to grow the engineering presence in the Hyderabad and Bengaluru offices and enable the India teams to be an autonomous engineering unit as part of the global workforce for AppEco. You will work with cross-functional leaders in AppEco to align on roadmaps, oversee the execution and delivery of engineering projects owned by the Hyderabad and Bengaluru teams, and play a crucial role in the success of App Hub and Gemini Cloud Assist through your team's work on application monitoring.,
