Software Engineer - Typescript (San Francisco Company)

We're looking for strong full-stack IC engineers to join our team.
Specifically we're looking for people who have:

1. Worked at a company with less than 100 people, with a lot of responsibility (founding engineer or CTO for example)
2. Are very comfortable with a single stack (Typescript / Python / Go / Java). Preferably some experience with Typescript (specially backend)
3. Are a product, platform or ML engineer. We are not looking for people with CI/CD, infrastructure or data science as their primary experience. We prefer backend experience over frontend
4. Are able to think for yourself and solve hard technical problems without any ai assistance, but are also leveraging tools like Cursor everyday to speed up your development

What you will do

You will be building RL environments and sandboxes that will be used by major LLM labs like OpenAI and Anthropic to train their coding agents. For that, you will onboard to a different codebase every 1-1.5 months. You will understand the codebase completely and build RL environments on top of it.

These environments will be engineering tasks to do on top of the codebase alongside perfect mocking and testing for how well the task was performed. You will be creating mocks, tests, hacking around infrastructure and whatever else required to build these environments. You will also build tooling and agents that helps you and other engineers build these environments faster.
