Software Engineer

True North Marine Inc., a division of the Accelleron Industries, is a consultancy dedicated to assisting vessel operators to ensure that their voyages are undertaken in the safest and cost-effective manner. We offer navigational assistance to diverse client base globally in the Maritime Industry. We are the only company that offers Weather routing/Performance Monitoring for Ocean vessels in Canada. Our Office is located in Montreal & India. We are seeking an enthusiastic Application Developer to join our new development team. As part of the team, you will be involved in implementing advanced weather routing and ship performance analysis software. The ideal candidate would be a professional/programmer who can work on software implementation in an Agile environment under the supervision of the Software Development Manager. We are looking for someone who is eager to enter the business field, collaborate effectively as a team player, and contribute to the development of this ambitious project. Your responsibilities will include assisting users on our in-house software, making corrections to the existing code based on user feedback, implementing quality assurance activities such as unit tests and integration tests, participating in our Daily Scrum meeting, and performing other related duties. To be successful in this role, you should have about 2-5 years of experience in application development, with a preference for web-oriented experience. Experience working on applications in the cloud is an asset. You should be autonomous, detail-oriented, and an active collaborator. Excellent communication skills in French and/or English are required. In addition, you should have strong knowledge of C# and ASP.Net, SQL Server, JavaScript, and experience in developing unit tests is desirable.
