Software Engineer - Testing

As a Node.js Software Engineer Testing, you will be responsible for developing and testing scalable and highly available Restful APIs/Microservices using JavaScript technologies. Your main responsibilities will include: - Minimum 5 years of coding and automation testing experience in JavaScript technologies. - At least 1 year hands-on experience in TypeScript. - Experience in Automation Testing Techniques and Tools such as Playwright, Cucumber, Appium, and Selenium. - Creating end-to-end Automation test suites using Playwright or Selenium, preferably using a BDD approach. - Practical experience with GraphQL. - Proficiency in CI/CD principles and actively involved in solving issues in distributed services ecosystem. - Understanding of containerization, experienced in Dockers, Kubernetes. - Exposure to API gateway integrations like 3Scale. - Understanding of Single-Sign-on or token-based authentication (Rest, JWT, OAuth). - Expert knowledge of task/message queues including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Pushpin, and Kafka. In terms of qualifications, we are looking for candidates with a Degree or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. Additionally, you should have experience in following best coding, testing, security, unit testing, and documentation standards and practices. Experience in Agile methodology is preferred. You should be able to research and benchmark technology against other best-in-class technologies. In terms of soft skills, you should be able to influence multiple teams on technical considerations, increase their productivity, and share deep knowledge and experience effectively. You should be a self-motivator and self-starter, capable of owning and driving tasks without supervision, and collaborating with teams across the organization. Excellent soft skills and interpersonal skills are required to interact and present ideas to Senior and Executive management.
