Software Engineer (.Net)

Role Overview: As a Senior Software Engineer at our company, you will have complete end-to-end ownership of stories on customer implementations. You will be responsible for building products across the stack and should have a firm understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back-end languages. Joining a small team, you will be tasked with solving challenges for both front-end and back-end architecture, ultimately delivering amazing experiences for the Life insurance industry. Key Responsibilities: - Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth - Develop new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements - Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design - Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities - Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment - Design and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale - Engage with inspiring designers and front-end engineers, and collaborate with leading back-end engineers to create reliable APIs - Utilize technologies like .NET, Angular/REACT, JavaScript, SQL Server, Postgres, etc. - Bring at least 3-6 years of industry experience in working and building large-scale software applications - Demonstrate experience in building web applications, designing and integrating RESTful APIs, and possessing knowledge of Angular/REACT and JavaScript - Showcase excellent debugging and optimization skills, as well as experience in unit/integration testing Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, or engineering - Interest in learning new tools, languages, workflows, and philosophies - Professional certifications Additional Company Details: Verisk, with over 50 years of experience, is the leading data analytics and technology partner to the global insurance industry.
