Software Engineer - Layer-2 Protocol Development

Role Overview: You will be required to work with product management and other cross functional teams to develop detailed software functional specification, articulate system/software architecture specifications, for product features to meet product requirements. Additionally, you will carry out detailed design and implementation, unit testing, integration of protocols, and other related software components for products and features. Key Responsibilities: - Develop detailed software functional specification in collaboration with product management and cross-functional teams - Articulate system/software architecture specifications for product features - Carry out detailed design and implementation of software components - Conduct unit testing and integration of protocols - Implement one or more routing protocols like OSPF, IS-IS, BGP or MPLS signalling protocols like RSVP, LDP or multicast routing protocols like PIM, IGMP - Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to adopt new software development tools - Demonstrate strong problem-solving and debugging skills Qualifications Required: - 4+ years of experience as a Software Developer in Layer2/Layer3 networking or related systems area - Proficiency in C/C++ programming, data structures, algorithms, Linux/FreeBSD OS concepts - Familiarity with L2 switching, EVPN, VXLAN, VPLS, L2VPN is preferred - BS/MS in Computer Science or similar discipline (Note: Additional details about the company were not provided in the job description.),
