With a vision to achieve 100% penetration of health insurance in India, Plum is revolutionizing the health insurance sector by leveraging innovative underwriting and fraud detection algorithms. This enables even small companies with as few as 2 employees to access group insurance seamlessly. The platform facilitates real-time insurance design and pricing, allowing companies to purchase insurance in just 3 clicks. Moreover, it ensures employees a hassle-free claims process through an integrated digital system. As a member of Plum, your key responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Java code that is reusable and reliable. You will be translating designs and wireframes into top-notch components and modular code to optimize application performance, quality, and responsiveness. Upholding Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines is crucial, reflecting a strong sense of ownership and integrity through clear communication and collaboration. Prior experience in creating and maintaining an open-source project or design library would be advantageous. To qualify for this role, you should possess at least 3 years of experience with Android SDK, various Android versions, and handling different screen sizes. Proficiency in local databases, offline storage, threading, and performance tuning is essential. Knowledge of Kotlin and Jetpack Compose is desirable, along with familiarity with RESTful APIs for connecting Android applications to backend services. Additionally, expertise in utilizing various sensors like the camera, gyroscopes, and accelerometers is beneficial. Understanding the open-source Android ecosystem and available libraries for common tasks is advantageous. Your ability to comprehend business requirements and translate them into technical specifications will be crucial. In terms of skills, proficiency in Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM), RxJava, and iOS App Development will be beneficial for excelling in this role.,
