Position Summary...

What youll do...

Job Description Summary:

Responsible for coding, unit testing, building high performance and scalable applications that meet the needs of millions of Walmart-International customers, in the areas of supply chain management & Customer experience.

About Team:

Our team collaborates with Walmart International, which has over 5,900 retail units operating outside of the United States under 55 banners in 26 countries including Africa, Argentina, Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Japan, and Mexico, to name a few.

What youll do:

Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions with a strong focus on network routing, server load balancing (SLB), load balancing (LB), reverse proxy, and CDN technologies.
Expertise in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery processes
Write and maintain code in Go, Python, and Shell scripting to automate processes and improve system reliability.
Set up and maintain monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, OpenObserve, and Grafana to monitor system performance and health.
Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, including routing, network protocols, SLB, LB, and Torbit.
Manage and optimize messaging queues and data streaming platforms such as Kafka.
Implement and manage CDN solutions, including Akamai, to ensure efficient content delivery.
Ensure high availability and reliability of Linux-based systems through effective troubleshooting and maintenance.
Participate in on-call rotations and incident triaging to ensure timely resolution of issues.

What youll bring:

Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and principles.
4-6 years of hands-on related DevOps/SRE experience
Expertise in network routing, server load balancing (SLB), load balancing (LB), reverse proxy, and CDN technologies.
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Istio, Docker).
Proficiency in coding languages (Go, Python, Shell scripting) and API development.
Solid understanding of monitoring and observability tools (Splunk, OpenObserve, Grafana).
Knowledge of network protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
Experience with messaging queues and data streaming platforms (Kafka).
Familiarity with CDN solutions (Akamai).
Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Expertise in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery processes
Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and principles.
Familiarity in coding languages (Go, Python, Shell scripting) and API development.
Experience with messaging queues and data streaming platforms (Kafka).
Experience with Monitoring solutions like Prometheus, Products like ELK/Splunk etc
Experience with code-quality and automated testing (Sonar, JUnit, Selenium or similar)
Experience with API standards (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML)
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
Good understanding of agile development
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications:Option 1: Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 2years experience in software engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

Preferred Qualifications...

Certification in Security+, Network+, GISF, GSEC, CISSP, or CCSP, Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related area
