Software Engineer III

Role Overview: As a part of the Guidewire team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-native systems to deliver the Insurance Platform with quality. You will have the opportunity to operate as a start-up within a highly influential InsurTech company, driving engineering best practices and leading architecture and design discussions. Your role will involve partnering with product management and engineering leadership to set and achieve quarterly and annual goals, developing scalable software systems, and utilizing technologies like AWS, Kubernetes, and IaC to create and maintain cloud infrastructure. Additionally, you will have the chance to employ Machine Learning and Generative AI to enhance user experience and engage in pair programming to foster continuous learning and growth. Key Responsibilities: - Operate as a start-up within the company, driving engineering best practices such as TDD and GitOps - Lead architecture and design discussions, representing the team in cross-company decisions - Partner with product management and engineering leadership to set and achieve goals - Develop and deploy scalable and cloud-native software systems - Create and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, and IaC - Utilize Machine Learning and Generative AI to improve user experience - Engage in pair programming for continuous learning Qualifications Required: - An entrepreneurial spirit and a leadership mindset - A passion for learning, sharing, innovation, and supporting others - Minimum 5 years of experience as a software developer or system engineer - Strong programming skills in Java, Go, Python, or other high-level languages - Proficiency in public cloud technologies (preferably AWS), Containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, and DevOps practices - BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields,
