As a software engineer at Google, you will play a crucial role in developing the next-generation technologies that impact billions of users worldwide. Your responsibilities will include: - Writing product or system development code to contribute to critical projects at Google. - Participating in design reviews with peers and stakeholders to make decisions on technology choices. - Reviewing code developed by other team members and providing feedback to ensure best practices are followed, such as style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency. - Contributing to existing documentation and educational content, adapting it based on product/program updates and user feedback. - Triaging product or system issues, debugging, tracking, and resolving them by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality. Qualifications required for this role are: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree. - 2 years of experience with Android application development. - Experience in C++, testing, 3D graphics, Vulkan, and GPU drivers. Preferred qualifications include: - Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field. - 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms. - Experience in Python, data analysis, and mobile GPU. - Experience developing accessible technologies.
