Role Overview: As a software engineer at Google, you will be developing next-generation technologies that impact how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and each other. Your work will involve handling information at a massive scale and will span various areas such as information retrieval, distributed computing, system design, networking, security, artificial intelligence, and more. Key Responsibilities: - Write product or system development code to contribute to project success. - Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices in available technologies. - Contribute to existing documentation and educational content, adapting them based on product/program updates and user feedback. - Triage product or system issues, debug, track, and resolve them by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact. - Implement Generative AI solutions, utilize ML infrastructure, and contribute to data preparation, optimization, and performance enhancements. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree. - 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure, including model deployment, evaluation, optimization, data processing, and debugging. - Experience with core Generative AI concepts and text, image, video, or audio generation.
