Software Engineer II - Python

As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management, you will be part of an agile team responsible for enhancing, designing, and delivering software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. You will contribute to the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of various components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining valuable skills and experience to advance your career within the role. Key Responsibilities: - Execute standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting tasks - Write secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance - Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot considering upstream and downstream systems and technical implications - Apply knowledge of tools in the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to enhance automation value - Utilize technical troubleshooting skills to break down solutions and resolve technical problems of basic complexity - Analyze and draw conclusions from diverse data sets to identify issues and contribute to decision-making for secure application development - Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for developing secure, stable code and systems - Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect Qualifications Required: - Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and a minimum of 2 years of applied experience - Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability - Proficiency in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages - Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages - Experience across the Software Development Life Cycle and exposure to agile methodologies like CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security - Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) Additional Company Details: JPMorgan Chase is committed to fostering a workplace culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
