Job Description

As a Software Engineer II in the Infrastructure Platforms team, you will join an agile group committed to enhancing, designing, and delivering software components for the firm's advanced technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your role as a developing member of the software engineering team will involve executing software solutions by designing, developing, and troubleshooting various components within technical products, applications, or systems, while gaining the essential skills and experience for professional growth. Your responsibilities will include administering and managing Linux-based systems and Infrastructure as Code tools across development, testing, and production environments. You will design, deploy, and oversee containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s), as well as develop and maintain automation scripts utilizing Ansible for system configuration and application deployment. Additionally, you will create and manage batch job workflows using Control-M, ensuring reliability and performance, and write and maintain Python scripts for automation, integration, and monitoring purposes. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as development, QA, and operations, to support CI/CD processes will be a key aspect of your role, along with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to infrastructure, deployment, and automation. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will enable you to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate should have formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 2 years of applied experience. Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability is essential, along with proficiency in the Linux operating system, including system administration and troubleshooting. Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages is also required. A strong understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as proven experience in Ansible scripting for infrastructure automation, is necessary. Proficiency in Python and GO scripting for various automation tasks, along with a good understanding of CI/CD practices, version control (e.g., Git), and the software development lifecycle are also important qualifications. Preferred qualifications include experience working in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack, and familiarity with ITIL or other service management frameworks.,
