Job Description

Role Overview: As a Software Engineer II specializing in automation testing and Java coding at MasterCard's Digital team in Pune, India, you will play a crucial role in developing and testing Restful APIs. Your responsibilities will include designing and executing test automation scenarios, translating system requirements into testing methods, collaborating with software engineers to ensure code quality, and participating in testing activities and strategy creation. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop test automation scenarios for system interfaces and software solutions (API and UI tests) - Translate complex system requirements into test requirements and methods - Collaborate with software engineers to ensure code quality and test coverage - Generate test data, prepare test environments, execute test plans, and report results - Identify code defects or regressions and develop automation frameworks - Participate in requirements review, story elaborations, and testing activities - Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, contribute to the shared vision, and perform demos of new product functionality Qualifications Required: - Experienced in code development, code review, and construction of automation frameworks - Proficient in Agile testing methodologies, unit and integration testing, and virtualization tools - 3-5 years of experience as a Software Automation Tester with strong Java coding skills - Familiarity with tools such as SoapUI, Postman, or Insomnia - Experience testing REST APIs and UI using tools like Rest Assured, Selenium, Java, Cucumber, Maven, Karate, and Splunk - Technical skills in Eclipse/IntelliJ Idea, Git, Bitbucket, and SQL - Experience working in Agile teams and strong English communication skills - Familiarity with SaaS products like BrowserStack or Perfecto for mobile testing (Note: Corporate Security Responsibility details have been omitted from the Job Description),
