Job Description

As a Software Engineer II-2 (Mainframe Developer with COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, PROC) at Mastercard, your role will involve hands-on experience with software development, specifically focusing on Microfocus COBOL, DB2 LUW, and TWS scheduler. You will be responsible for coordinating with various groups, including vendors, to ensure the success of projects. Your tasks will include developing project schedules, tracking deliverables, and collaborating with different teams within Mastercard. This position requires experience in full lifecycle development projects utilizing Agile methodologies and the ability to act as a technical Subject Matter Expert to guide junior team members. - Design and develop high-performance software solutions that meet business requirements - Maintain and present project metrics reporting for management review - Lead initiatives for automation, defect metrics, and overall quality enhancements - Coordinate between teams located in different geographical locations - Experience in batch and online development - Proficiency in CI/CD processes - Demonstrated involvement in quality initiatives with a focus on automation and code quality - Strong communication skills and the ability to guide team members towards implementing effective solutions In addition, as part of your corporate security responsibility at Mastercard, you are expected to: - Adhere to Mastercard's security policies and practices - Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of accessed information - Report any suspected information security violations or breaches - Complete all mandatory security training sessions as per Mastercard's guidelines,
