Role Overview: As a Software Engineer at Chubb, reporting to the VP COG ECM enterprise Forms Portfolio Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the implementation of a new Document solution for identified applications within the CCM landscape in APAC. Your role will involve migrating existing forms/templates from xPression to Quadient Inspire, the new Customer Communications Management (CCM) platform selected by a global working group. Additionally, you will be involved in replacing multiple existing applications with Quadient Inspire. This role is based in Hyderabad/India with occasional travel to other Chubb offices. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentations to create detailed test plans, test data, and test cases. - Identify test scenarios and prioritize them based on business impact and risk. - Perform functional testing for applications, including system integration and regression testing. - Execute test cases manually and/or using automated tools, ensuring thorough validation of all functionalities. - Identify, document, and report defects in a clear and concise manner using defect tracking tools. - Collaborate with Developers, System Analysts, Business Analysts, Business Users, and other stakeholders to reproduce, prioritize, clarify ambiguities, and resolve issues. - Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test data, test results, and defect reports. - Ensure traceability between test cases and business requirements. - Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, grooming/refining, and retrospectives. - Validate that the application performs as expected under various conditions and scenarios, with no compromise to security and audit expectations. - Perform data-based validations at front-end UI, back-end databases according to requirements, mappings, and taxonomies. - Validate APIs using Postman/SoapUI along with token and validate any sort of authentication and authorization. - Prepare automation tools to simplify, reusable, and effective testing practices, closely working with the business to reuse the tools during UAT execution. - Participate in UAT/warranty defects triage to understand the defects, identify the gaps caused by missing those defects in SIT, and take preventive actions. - Suggest improvements to testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. - Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in software testing. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Proven experience in software testing, including creating test plans, test cases, and executing tests. - Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. - Experience with automation tools such as Postman/SoapUI. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. - Ability to manage multiple project/enhancement streams with varying levels of technical/functional scope and across different technologies. - Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
