Software Engineer (Frontend Developer)

As a software engineer in the Web Enablement team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining applications that enhance the web experience for end customers. Your responsibilities will include developing, testing, and maintaining applications while adhering to established processes. You will also be expected to create and maintain technical designs based on project requirements, write application code following coding standards, and execute unit tests to ensure the quality of the applications. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting analysis, documenting project details, supporting application testing, and resolving any test defects that may arise. It will be essential for you to provide regular status updates, follow project execution processes diligently, and actively participate in training, self-development, and knowledge sharing activities. Developing a comprehensive understanding of the applications and the underlying domain will be crucial for success in this role. In case of medium to complex system problems reported by the business, you will be required to diagnose and resolve them by referring to system documents. Providing training to new team members and other teams on business processes and applications, as well as offering permanent resolutions for recurring issues and automating repetitive tasks, will also be part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in any stream and possess a strong skill set in HTML, CSS, front-end JavaScript, Drupal theming, and configuration. Experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, web components design, Jest/Nightwatch.js/Happo, Node, CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions), and cloud platforms (e.g., Pantheon and AWS) will be beneficial. Apart from technical abilities, you are expected to demonstrate strong analytical skills, research orientation, good time management, and an aptitude for learning and adapting quickly. Being a team player with positive attitude, reasoning skills, and effective communication is essential.
