We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer with a flair for coding and a keen interest in ecommerce, to join and embark on an exciting journey to develop, enhance, and maintain our cutting-edge ecommerce platform.

We are looking for a proactive and growth-oriented Software Engineer to support the development of scalable, high-performance applications in a fast-paced product environment. Youll contribute to both feature development and code quality improvements, while learning to own tasks independently and collaborate closely with engineers, QA, PMs, and DevOps in an Agile setting.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Full-Stack Development & Code Ownership
• Design, develop, and test scalable web applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and JavaScript.
• Write clean, testable, and standards-compliant code using GitFlow and participate in code reviews.
• Take ownership of assigned tickets and drive them to completion with minimal oversight.
• Agile Delivery & Process Participation
• Work within a cross-functional Agile team including Product Owners, Engineers, QA, and DevOps.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies including planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
• Collaborate with QA and product teams to define test strategies and functional acceptance criteria.
• Quality, Testing & Reliability
• Contribute to automated units, integration, and functional testing.
• Suggest and implement small but impactful improvements and refactoring.
• Participate in supporting live incidents and improving monitoring and reliability.
• Collaboration & Communication
• Work closely with peers through engineering, QA, and product to ensure smooth delivery.
• Explain technical decisions and solutions in clear terms to non-engineering stakeholders.
• Engage in collaborative design discussions and knowledge sharing sessions.
• Documentation & Technical Improvement
• Maintain clear documentation for code, APIs, and processes.
• Suggest continuous improvement opportunities in tools, practices, or delivery.
• Mentorship & Culture Contribution
• Mentor and assist Junior Development team members on tasks and code reviews.
• Contribute positively to the engineering culture by promoting quality, collaboration, and experimentation.

This may be the right role for you if you have.

• 4 to 5 years of experience in software engineering in a product or platform-focused company.
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, React, and basic HTML/CSS.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, version control using Git.
• Exposure to Snowflake, AWS, or other cloud services is a plus.
• Understanding of Agile development lifecycle and common tools like JIRA, GitHub, etc.
• The ability to break down technical problems, deliver incremental improvements, and optimize code.
• Familiarity with testing practices and participation in CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills — especially with QA and PMs.
• Eagerness to learn, mentor peers, and grow technically and professionally.
