Software Engineer - Backend, Integrations

Role Overview: Devo, the cloud-native logging and security analytics company, is seeking a talented individual to join the Devo Integrations Content team. As a member of this team, you will play a vital role in building data ingestion workflows and applications for numerous external tools and technologies to enhance data collection, observability, security, and Machine Learning insights for customers. Your contributions will be instrumental in expanding Devo's reach among existing and new clients by developing integrations with leading security and cloud providers using cutting-edge technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Develop End-To-End API integrations utilizing a proprietary Python framework, from initial research to integration tests. - Create internal technical documentation and end-user guides for the developed integrations. - Design high-performance Devo scripts for parsing events and logging. - Establish and maintain unit tests for the generated artifacts. - Enhance the quality, relevance, and up-to-date status of the integrations portfolio. - Adhere to programming standards, company directives, and legal requirements. - Manage integration work across internal and external touchpoints, including direct communication with external parties and internal teams. - Identify and resolve complex issues in existing integrations. - Collaborate with the Collector platform team to enhance the collector platform. - Work with the Collector tools team to develop next-generation tools for the Devo developer ecosystem. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer networking, electrical engineering, or mathematics. - Minimum 1.5 years of experience in Python development. - At least 1 year of experience working with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD technologies. - Proficiency in web API development and testing tools like Postman. - Autonomous, proactive mindset with a drive to innovate. - Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and customers across different geographies. Desired Skills: - Knowledge of programming patterns and test-driven development. - Familiarity with web API protocols. - Experience with Unit Test in Python. - Expertise in advanced Python concepts such as multiprocessing and multi-threading (a plus). - Hands-on experience with GIT and CI/CD knowledge.
