Cloud Monitoring Operator

As a Cloud Monitoring Operator at Devo, you will be responsible for continuously monitoring outages, faults, critical events, and abnormalities within the systems and services of Devo and its customers. This entry-level position involves providing level 1 technical support for various systems and services. You will receive close supervision, support, mentoring, and training from the Monitoring Operations and Cloud Operations Teams. Your key responsibilities will include: - Providing level 1 support for different Devo systems and services. - Monitoring all Devo systems and addressing events detected by monitoring systems. - Following documented procedures to resolve issues and creating documentation for common issues and resolutions. - Independently running tasks, projects, leading initiatives, and working effectively both independently and as part of a team. - Prioritizing tasks, setting deadlines, documenting designs and procedures, and protecting internal and external Enterprise Information Assets. - Escalating issues, communicating details thoroughly, monitoring the platform, suggesting future architectural needs, ensuring scalability, identifying areas for improvement, and taking ownership. Requirements for this role include: - Solid understanding of Linux sysadmin, TCP/IP, and networking technologies. - Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Dynatrace. - Experience with managing basic services such as web servers, application servers, and databases. - Knowledge of private/public/hybrid Cloud Computing technologies and at least one programming language. - Good troubleshooting and debugging skills, experience with Git, knowledge of Information Security best practices, and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tools.
