Job Description

As a skilled and motivated Software Engineer - Automation at Flexera, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the quality of our cloud optimization products through effective and scalable automation. You will have the opportunity to enhance our automation frameworks, expand test coverage, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product excellence. Your contributions will be instrumental in ensuring that our systems remain robust, scalable, and performant. Your responsibilities will include implementing and maintaining automated test suites for cloud-native applications and services. You will work closely with senior engineers, QA, and product stakeholders to identify test areas with high ROI. Additionally, you will develop reusable test components, contribute to automation infrastructure improvements, analyze test results, identify issues, and participate in defect resolution discussions. Your role will also involve supporting CI/CD integration efforts by embedding automation into build and release workflows. To excel in this role, you should have at least 2+ years of experience in Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or other test automation frameworks. You should also possess experience in building automation frameworks, testing SaaS solutions, and working with at least one of the major hyper-scalers (AWS, Azure, or GCP). A working knowledge of Kubernetes, experience in backend and API automation with Python or equivalent, and familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools are essential qualifications for this position. Additionally, having development experience in Go, experience with IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible, as well as awareness of observability and performance testing tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and JMeter would be considered advantageous.
