Software Engineer Assistant Vice President

Role Overview: As a Software Engineer for the Measurements Team at Citi, you will be a part of the Developer Engineering functions within ICG Technology. Your primary focus will be on using data to transform the working environment for developers, researchers, and staff in the Institutional Clients Group (ICG). The team aims to measure the progress of the department, establish meaningful measures for development teams, and reinforce positive behaviors through the influence of measurement. You will collaborate with the team to design, develop, test, and automate big data solutions to process and make data accessible and actionable for development teams and senior management. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute as part of an expert team of software engineers/data scientists - Be responsible for systems that gather and process data/measures/reports - Automate repetitive tasks through scripting - Ensure alignment of measures and metrics - Drive adoption of measures and metrics by development teams - Improve data quality across the entire estate - Evolve measurement through continuous improvement - Ensure measures are useful to development teams - Derive measures for senior management consumption - Implement solutions for reporting issues with broad impact Qualifications Required: - Overall 8+ years of proven expertise in the development process, preferably from working in development teams in a large company - Experience in building systems from scratch and moving them through to production - Expert level Python skills (typically 5+ years) - Experience in designing systems from scratch - Knowledge of Microservice Architecture - Ability to work tactically in the short-term and strategically for the long-term - Understanding of data science/data engineering basics - Working proficiency in SQL - Knowledge of Graph Databases - Experience with Agile SDLC methods such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.,
