Software Engineer Assistant Vice President

As a Software Engineer for the Measurements Team at Citi, you will play a crucial role in utilizing data to revolutionize the working environment for over 18,000 developers, researchers, and staff in the Institutional Clients Group (ICG). Your responsibilities will include: - Contributing as part of an expert team of software engineers/data scientists - Being responsible for systems that gather and process data/measures/reports - Moving repetitive tasks to automation through scripting - Ensuring alignment of measures and metrics - Driving adoption of measures and metrics by development teams - Improving data quality across the entire estate - Evolving measurement through continuous improvement - Ensuring measures are useful to development teams - Deriving measures for senior management consumption from these - Implementing solutions for reporting issues with broad impact To be successful in this role, you should possess the following characteristics: - Excellent communicator who builds strong professional relationships - Skilled in negotiation and influencing at various levels - Collaborative by nature, building partnerships across the firm - Creative and innovative, providing new solutions to problems - Focused on risk and security, prioritizing diligent risk management and security - Proficient in using complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques In terms of requirements, you should have: - Overall 8+ years of Proven Expertise in the development process, particularly in large companies - Experience in building systems from scratch and moving them through to production - Expert Level Python Skills (Typically 5+ years) - Experience in designing systems from scratch - Knowledge of Microservice Architecture - Ability to work tactically in the short-term and strategically for the long-term - Understanding of data science/data engineering basics - Working proficiency in SQL - Knowledge of Graph Databases - Experience with Agile SDLC methods such as Scrum, Kanban, etc. Please note that the job falls under the Technology Job Family Group and Applications Development Job Family, and it is a full-time position.
