Software Engineer (Android)

The Android Sr. Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications using Kotlin. You should have 4-5 years of experience and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mobile solutions meeting business needs. This role offers the opportunity to work as a senior developer, based on your experience. Your responsibilities will include developing, testing, and maintaining robust Android applications using Kotlin. You will work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to implement new features. Additionally, you will participate in the entire mobile app development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment. Debugging and resolving technical issues for smooth operation, optimization for performance, scalability, and security, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior developers are also part of your role. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience, along with 4-5 years of experience as an Android Developer focusing on Kotlin. Proficiency in Kotlin programming, Android development frameworks, Android Studio, integrating RESTful APIs, and version control systems like Git are essential. Understanding mobile app security, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills are also required. Good communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team are crucial. Preferred skills include experience with DevOps practices, Agile/Scrum methodologies, cloud services, and backend integration. The work environment is collaborative, with the possibility of remote or hybrid arrangements. Occasional on-call or after-hours work may be required to address urgent issues.
