Manage database backup and recovery processes to prevent data loss. Ensure compliance with data governance policies and security standards. Collaborate with software developers, system architects, and data analysts to support application development and data needs. Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability and reliability. Conduct regular database audits and implement improvements based on findings. Stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices. Skills and Technologies: Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL and experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server. Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) and data warehousing solutions. Experience with database migration and upgrade processes. Familiarity with cloud database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database). Strong understanding of data security practices and regulatory compliance. Scripting skills in languages like Python, Perl, Shell, or PowerShell for automation. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
