Summary:As a Software Development Lead, you will engage in the development and configuration of software systems, either managing the entire process or focusing on specific stages of the product lifecycle. Your day will involve collaborating with team members, applying your knowledge of various technologies and methodologies, and ensuring that the software meets the required standards and client expectations. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting issues and providing innovative solutions to enhance the software development process. Roles & Responsibilities:- System Architecture & Design:a) Develop and maintain end-to-end system architectures for truck and trailer tire monitoring systems.b) Define and document system-level performance, reliability, and cybersecurity requirements aligned with fleet use cases.c) Collaborate with product managers, algorithm teams, hardware engineers, and fleet customers to translate operational needs into scalable solutions.- Sensor & Hardware Integration:a) Design and integrate tire-mounted sensors, trailer-mounted gateways, and vehicle telematics devices.b) Ensure interoperability across tractors and trailers, including mixed-fleet and retrofit scenarios.c) Support vehicle validation and interface with SAE J1939 / CAN protocols as needed.3. System Validation & Testing:a) Develop test strategies for on-vehicle and bench testing of tire monitoring and alerting systems.b) Execute field testing with fleets to verify sensor accuracy, cloud connectivity, and alert logic.c) Support troubleshooting during fleet trials and early-stage deployments.4. Cloud & Data Integration:a) Leverage AWS-based platforms to enable real-time data collection, health scoring, and remote diagnostics.b) Work closely with data engineers to define API interactions, data models, and over-the-air (OTA) communication paths.5. Documentation & Compliance:a) Create and maintain system documentation including architecture diagrams, interface definitions, and test reports.b) Support compliance to industry standards and fleet safety regulations (e.g., FMCSA, 49 CFR 393.52). Skills:
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems, especially in commercial fleets (Class 68 trucks and trailers).- Experience with model-based development tools (MATLAB/Simulink).- Proficiency in AWS or other cloud platforms and IoT architectures.- Experience with sensor integration, hardware/software co-design, and validation.- Experience with fleet telematics platforms, tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), or TaaS models.- Familiarity with SAE J1939, CAN bus, and vehicle diagnostics standards.- Exposure to ISO 26262 or automotive safety-critical systems development.- Experience working with Salesforce to support customer-facing solutions, case management, or integration with cloud-based platforms.
Additional Information:- The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Automotive ECU Software.- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.- A 15 years full time education is required. Qualification 15 years full time education
