**Job Description** XpressBees is seeking driven and talented engineers to develop highly scalable, reliable, and performant cloud-based platforms for driving the logistics business. As part of the team, you will play a crucial role in creating software solutions that cater to various logistics businesses. The challenges that Software Development Engineers at XpressBees tackle are significant, such as handling 50 Lakh shipments per day, and will have a substantial impact on the E-Commerce sector in India. The ideal candidates are passionate about innovating new products, features, and services, navigating ambiguity, and adapting to the fast-paced environment of the company. The scope of work includes building highly scalable and reliable orchestration platforms, Client Integration API frameworks, Billing Solutions, and addressing complex optimization problems like Vehicle routing, Allocation, and Network Optimization. **Roles & Responsibilities** - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business and technology issues related to the product portfolio, identify gaps in current tools, and collaborate with internal and external teams to design optimal solutions. - Influence and design system architecture across multiple product and technology domains. - Lead and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring the delivery of top-notch customer experience while considering factors like latency, security, and usability. - Engage with Product Managers and Designers to translate their vision into technical solutions. - Take ownership of software deliverables, including critical path code, and mentor team members for growth. - Work with other engineering leads to establish and follow software development best practices, setting examples through solutions you build. - Lead the end-to-end design of major deliverables, collaborating with SDEs and Front-End Engineers to execute projects in a high-visibility, fast-paced environment impacting customer experience and company performance. - Demonstrate strong knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and agile methodologies to guide and mentor the engineering team. Experience with AWS Services and modern JavaScript frameworks is advantageous. **Qualifications** - Proficiency in developing cloud software services with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability. - Experience in defining, developing, and maintaining web service APIs. - Ability to mentor software developers, ensuring architectural vision and software quality. - Skilled in communication with users, technical teams, and senior management to gather requirements, describe features, designs, and strategies. - Proven track record in leading the development of complex software systems successfully delivered to customers. - Knowledge of professional software engineering practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, testing, and operations. - Experience with distributed computing, enterprise-wide systems, CS fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis. - Expertise in building large-scale, high-performance systems in a complex, distributed environment. - Proficient in design and architecture, object-oriented analysis, and design patterns. - Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
