Software Development Engineer 4

Role Overview: As an SDE4 at our company, you will be responsible for developing new features and content for a Java-based web application while following agile development methodology. Key Responsibilities: - Define user requirements for development of new or improvement of existing software solutions - Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies - Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation - Model, design, and implement databases as necessary - Develop software according to Amadeus Standards - Conduct unit, package, and performance tests of the software and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines - Participate in the validation / acceptance phase of the product cycle ensuring the fine-tuning necessary to finalize the product - Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments - Support the end user in the Production phase by debugging existing software solutions in response to Problem Tracking Records (PTR) and Change Requests (CR) issued from Product Management or Product Definition Qualifications & Skills: - Proven experience as a Java Full Stack Developer, with J2EE, Spring or Spring Boot, for a period of 8 to 12 years - Experience as a lead developer, for a minimum period of 2 years - Experience developing microservices, MVC web applications, web services, or cloud-native applications - Knowledge of front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, XML, JSON, XSLT, XPath, JavaScript) - Familiarity with databases & SQL (e.g. Oracle), Source Code collaboration tools (Bitbucket, Github), web servers (e.g. WebLogic) - Experience with CICD (Jenkins, Azure Pipelines) will be an added advantage - Familiar with Agile or SAFe Agile development methodology - Excellent communication in English and teamwork skills - Great attention to detail & Organizational skills - An analytical mind - Technical leadership, to motivate and lead on the technical front Please note that Amadeus aspires to be a leader in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the tech industry, enabling every employee to reach their full potential by fostering a culture of belonging and fair treatment, attracting the best talent from all backgrounds, and as a role model for an inclusive employee experience.,
