Description
We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Software Developer with a strong focus on DevOps to join our team. You'll play a crucial role in developing, building, and maintaining a robust CI/CD pipeline to support the delivery of IBM container products to our valued customers and IBM Product teams. Your expertise will be particularly vital in provisioning and managing data source configurations, connections, and various data source authentication mechanisms. This role requires a keen ability to quickly absorb professional knowledge in database management (both relational and non-relational) and to configure data source connections across SaaS and on-premise environments. You'll ensure the smooth operation of data source provisioning and maintenance through patching and version upgrades, enabling seamless continuous integration and deployment processes. Your Role and Responsibilities As a Software Developer (DevOps), you will: Implement and maintain a new CI/CD pipeline, with a focus on data source configurations and authentication mechanisms. Ensure smooth operations of provisioning and maintaining data source connections through patching and version upgrades. Enable seamless continuous integration and deployment processes. Collaborate with development teams to address technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and ensure CI/CD process efficiency. Automate and optimize various aspects of the CI/CD pipeline using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Provide technical support to customers and stakeholders via various communication channels, including Slack. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by product teams to ensure the pipeline operates efficiently and delivers high-quality software. Required Education Bachelor's Degree Required Technical and Professional Expertise 5-7 years of IT professional experience in software development with knowledge in: Enterprise GitHub and version control. CI/CD Pipeline development and maintenance. Script programming development (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell). Hands-on experience with SQL/non-SQL databases (e.g., Oracle, Postgres, DB2), including configuring databases; DBA skills are an advantage. Hands-on experience with multi-cloud environments (e.g., IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP), including spinning up, running, and maintaining workloads. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly. Ability to work well independently and in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise Experience and knowledge in Containers and Kubernetes (including Red Hat OpenShift). Experience with Java programming. Automation skills through tools like Ansible or Terraform. Knowledge/Hands-on experience with IBM z/OS is an added advantage. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
