Job Description

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems
Provide technical leadership to other software developers
Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs
Design, implement, and maintain features for OCI CLI and SDKs in one or more programming languages (e g, Java, Python, Go, TypeScript)
Ensure consistency, testability, and usability across SDKs
Contribute to CLI enhancements, developer tooling, and documentation to improve customer experience
Collaborate with OCI service teams to onboard new APIs and drive CLI and SDKs adoption
Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and sprint planning activities
Work on automation for CLI and SDK generation, API upgrades, and quality assurance pipelines
Support security, compliance, and open-source best practices across CLI and SDKs

Preferred Qualifications:

4-8 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on SDKs, APIs, developer tools, or libraries.
Proficient in object-oriented programming (e.g., Java), with foundational Python skills and familiarity with additional languages such as Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, or .NET.
Solid understanding of RESTful API design and API client patterns.
Experience with cloud infrastructure, developer workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with SDK automation, code generation tools, or OpenAPI is highly desirable.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities with a collaborative approach.
Passion for developer experience and open-source contributions.
